CPU working at 100% just watching video? hohohoho… holy crap. Yeah, I guess it’s shitty Vista, so install XP professional instead.

maybe with the xps series but i’m sure you can’t upgrade a normal dell pc and you can’t overclock them aswell…

really, i thought you could buy counter parts from any comp shop and upgrade the dell. My friend has a dell XPS laptop and he upgraded his graphics

LOL depends sometimes asus is good and sometimes its bad. People say asus suck because asus designs are generally lacking in look. But in terms of components its about the same. Depends on the parts you put in the computer. Dell computers are fine too its about the parts. People dont like dell because its a brand name that just sucks.

the thing is u cant compare to asus Eee and HP 2130 because one is running xp and one is vista. Vista always takes a longer time to load because of the graphical interface. Even with a high end desktop, vista still needs almost a minute to boot. And also there is a difference in processor. Asus use generally intel and Hp generally use AMD. Both of them are different. How can you compare and Apple and an Orange? You just can’t.

As far as features SuSe 10 desktop beats the crap out of vista, and comes with office software.

That boot test was unfair, Vista will slow down anything. Also note that the Eee has something like 4gb storage while this HP has 120 – 160gb frankly I can live with the longer loadup time. Given there’s only about £100 between them, I’d rather fork out the extra cash. For those who don’t like Vista, there’s the linux option as well. I wish people would list the battery life however, and the difference between the three cell and six cell options, with something media intensive such as a vid play

    January 9, 2011 at 11:24 am

Well I suppose not a hell of a lot more features, but I’m just trying to say I personally would find it much more convenient to have a XP version instead of the Linux or Vista versions.

Does Windows XP come with all the basic apps for multimedia, office and so on? So how can XP have more features? Even the desktop isn’t nearly as configurable. You’re just wrong!

Only if you consider bugs features.

    January 9, 2011 at 12:42 pm

because XP has much more features then Linux, and uses less power then the Vista version? Dunno but I’d rather have fast XP then slow Vista on my PC.

Yes. But why would you want to commit such a horrible monstrosity?

    January 9, 2011 at 1:14 pm

this may sound stupid, but can’t u just install XP on the Linux version with an external DVD drive?
